Coliseum

City Hall-21The Coliseum Building was constructed 1931 and was then described as "the pride of the City of Sterling and the admiration of the State of Illinois." You can view the Coliseum's storied history in PDF or as a PowerPoint slideshow presentation:

Today, the Coliseum serves as the home of City offices and the Sterling Police Department. The building and grounds are maintained by the Community Services Department. 

Conference Rooms Available for Rent


Concept Review Conference Room #2 

Seats up to 17 in a space of 15' by 31' Board room style - includes a TV monitor and internet access.

West Conference Room #3 

Seats up to 15 in a space of 23' by 15' Board room style - includes a TV monitor, internet access and a small sink and counter.  This room is set up in a Board Room style.                                                 

Community Room

Our largest room seating up to 75 in a space of 32' by '27 - includes a pull down screen, internet access, sink and counter.  This room can be configured with or without tables as needed. 

Please note, all renters are responsible for any refreshments, the City only provides the space.
